MAY


Canada Scholarship Trust Foundation Bursaries  - $6,000

These are awarded to immigrant students who require financial assistance to access post-secondary education for the first time.  From university degrees to apprenticeships, all Canadian post-secondary education programs are eligible for bursaries!  The funds can be used to cover the cost of tuition and related expenses such as books, supplies or living expenses.  Applicants must be the first generation in their family to attend post-secondary education.  To learn more or express application interest, please contact us at youthcoordinator@trulyalivefoundation.org 


Collision Plus Trade Scholarship - $500

This scholarship is awarded to a graduate from Greater Saskatoon Catholic high schools. The recipient of this $500 award must be actively pursuing a career as an Auto Body Technician. Application is made through submission of a Resume and a letter outlining career goals.  Candidates will be interviewed by a selection committee.  In order to be considered, have your application in to Student Services at your high school by May 10.


Gibson Livestock Scholarship Fund - $1,500

Applicants must be passionate about agriculture and entering or currently pursuing an agricultural related program full-time at a Canadian college, university or apprenticeship (trade) institution. Gibson Livestock will award a scholarship of $1500 to the winning applicant(s) that can demonstrate their passion and potential through a 300-500 word essay describing themselves, their current involvement in Canadian agriculture, community and extracurricular activities, what has inspired them to pursue a career field in agriculture and future goals for themselves in the Canadian Ag sector. Hy-Tech Drilling INDIGENOUS SCHOLARSHIPS

This scholarship is available for Indigenous Persons living in the regions (British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario) Hy-Tech Drilling operates and/or children of Hy-Tech Employees.

1.      Hy-Tech Drilling Scholarship: This scholarship is open to Indigenous students and mature students. The scholarship will provide $1,000 to cover tuition and related expenses. Applications are due by May 12, 2023.

2.      Rivers Drilling Scholarship: This scholarship is open to Indigenous students (including mature students) in Northern Saskatchewan. The scholarship will provide $1,000 to cover tuition and related expenses. Applications are due by May 12, 2023.

3.      Tahltan Hy-Tech Drilling Scholarship: This scholarship is open to Tahltan Nation Indigenous students (including mature students). The scholarship will provide $1,000 to cover tuition and related expenses. Applications are due by May 12, 2023.


GENERAL SCHOLARSHIPS

This scholarship is available for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Persons living in the regions (British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario) Hy-Tech Drilling operates and/or children of Hy-Tech Employees.

1.      Creative Arts Scholarship: This scholarship is open to students pursuing a full-time post secondary education within a creative arts discipline who reside across Canada where Hy-Tech Drilling operates. The scholarship will provide $1,000 to cover tuition and related expenses. Applications are due by May 12, 2023.

2.      Left Lateral Leap Scholarship: This scholarship is open to students across Canada where Hy-Tech Drilling operates. The scholarship will provide $1,000 to cover tuition and related expenses. Applications are due by May 12, 2023.

3.      Mechanical Mind Scholarship: This scholarship is open to students pursuing an educational path in welding, machining, or mechanics who reside across Canada where Hy-Tech Drilling operates. The scholarship will provide $1,500 to cover tuition and related expenses. Applications are due by May 12, 2023.

Jean Lumb Awards - $1,000 


Jean Lumb, C.M. Luke Santi Memorial Award - $1,000 

To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:

A) Have a minimum 80% average overall.

MADD Canada Bursaries - $4,000 to $8,000

MADD Canada’s Bursary Program is open to Canadian citizens who have themselves been severely injured or who have had a parent (or legal guardian) or sibling killed or severely injured as a result of an impaired driving crash and who are enrolled in a full-time, ministry-approved, post-secondary educational program. Injuries must be catastrophic or severe and have had a significant impact on the applicants’ lives. Saskatchewan Academic and Golf Excellence Scholarship Program (SAGE) - $ various

To assist Saskatchewan Golf Association members in their pursuit of post-secondary academics. Our mission is to promote the growth and development of youth drama in Saskatchewan and to promote professional development through communication and drama development programs. SEE Education Foundation Scholarships

Scholarship Value: $5,000

Sun Life Financial Peer Support Scholarship - $1,500

The Sun Life Financial Scholarship is open to any post-secondary student with a spinal cord injury who is living in Canada, and who is also a peer support volunteer with one of SCI/CPA corporate members. Storwell Self Storage Bursary

The Storwell Self Storage has re-launched our Foster Children Bursary and we are looking to connect with educational institutions to help expand awareness of the program so that we can provide scholarships to foster children who are working on building a better life for themselves. Breakthrough Junior Challenge

Scholarship Value: $250,000

The Breakthrough Junior Challenge is an annual global competition for students to inspire creative thinking about science. Students ages 13 to 18 from countries across the globe are invited to create and submit original videos (2:00 minutes in length maximum) that bring to life a concept or theory in the life sciences, physics or mathematics. The submissions are judged on the student’s ability to communicate complex scientific ideas in engaging, illuminating, and imaginative ways. The Challenge is organized by the Breakthrough Prize Foundation, and was founded by Julia and Yuri Milner as part of their Giving Pledge to support science and the communication of scientific ideas.

The Charles Labatiuk Scholarship Award was established through the legacy gift of Charles Labatiuk and the Charles Labatiuk Nature Endowment Fund. Charles Labatiuk was an avid nature conservationist, mountaineer, and world traveler who enjoyed and excelled as a photographer, writer, gardener, and pianist. These awards were introduced to honour his life and his passion for nature.

Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS) Young Community Leader Bursary - $5,000

PHE Saskatchewan is now accepting applications for its annual scholarships. Multiple awards (5 awards valued at $300 each) will be presented annually to high school graduates based on the following:  Deadline Date: June 30th Annually

Scholarship Criteria:

A. The student must have a minimum of two Physical Education/Wellness or Health credits and be actively involved in the school Intramural and Extra-Curricular program.

B. The student must have an average of at least 70% in subject areas required for minimum entrance requirements for his/her intended area of study.

C. The recipient should exhibit strong leadership and sportsmanship qualities as well as being a positive role model in his/her school and/or community.

D. The recipient must be enrolled in first year studies in one of the following programs in a Saskatchewan Post Secondary Institution:
