Saskatoon Industry Education Council  (SIEC)

PROGRAMS

Employability:  This program provides opportunities for students to learn how to stand out to potential employers through various employment skill sessions.

Summer Youth Internship Program:  This unique program offers Grade 11 and 12 students an opportunity to participate in a 6-week paid internship in the trades or IT. Students can also earn 20 & 30 level Apprenticeship credits. In the past, some Grade 12 students have been asked to stay beyond the internship for continued employment and apprenticeship opportunities.

Safety @ Work:  In partnership with various workplace safety associations such as the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association and WorkSafe Saskatchewan, the SIEC offers safety training certification to youth prior to entering the workplace. This includes industry recognized certifications in construction and tourism.



Radius Community Centre for Education and Employment Training

Our programs help unemployed or underemployed workers with the skills needed to connect to the world of work. Education options include: Employee Development and Workplace Skills; Career Development Skills; Workplace related short term certificate training; along with such tools as résumés and cover letters
