Nutrien Indigenous Youth Financial Management Awards - $5,000 (February deadline)

Open to Indigenous youth in Grade 11 or 12. Winners attend AFOA's National Conference and participate in a special Youth program designed to introduce youth to careers in Indigenous finance and management.  For more information and to apply, go to  https://afoa.ca/awards/youth/ 


Father Ted Colleton Scholarship Program - $500 to $1,500 (December deadline)

Horatio Alger Scholarships for Grade 11 students:  If integrity, determination, and courage describe you - you have what it takes to be a Horatio Alger Scholar.  Our scholarships reward students who possess the character to succeed in life.  We help students overcome the financial barriers to pursue higher education.  To qualify, you must have at least a 70% average and require financial assistance to attend university.  Deadline for applications is March 15, 2022.  To learn more and apply, visit https://horatioalger.ca/en/scholarships/  


IndigiFund - $ various (March deadline)

You are eligible for a Bursary if you are an Indigenous youth age 15 to 30 needing financial assistance in the areas of sport, education, and culture.  For more information and to apply,  go to https://indigifund.com 


The Prince of Wales & Duchess of Cornwall Scholarship - $500 (March deadline)

This scholarship assists Grade 11 students with completing their secondary education, to ease the financial burden that some students face during their educational journey. Saskatchewan Academic and Golf Excellence Scholarship Program (SAGE): Golf Saskatchewan High School Bursaries - $ various (May deadline)

Two scholarships are open to female/male applicants in Grades 9 - 11The scholarships and bursaries recognize young individuals who have made major contributions to golf in Saskatchewan.  They are intended to assist members of SGA-affiliated golf clubs in their pursuit of high school and post-secondary education.  Applicants will be judged on the previous year's academic record, golf achievements and abilities, future plans in academics and golf, and attitude and sportsmanship.  For more information and to apply, go to  http://golfsaskatchewan.org/sport-dev/#scholarships


SHAD Canada Summer Program (December deadline)

Shad Canada is a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) and entrepreneurship program for students in Grade 10 or 11.   Shad Canada’s program attracts students with high aptitudes for risk taking, curiosity, excellence and resilience, and prepares them to take on social and economic challenges. The month-long program (27 days of living on campus at a Canadian university in July) includes a real-world design challenge that asks students to work on issues such as food security, water management and waste.  Applicants are assessed on several factors including creativity/innovation, commitment to excellence, engagement in extracurricular activities and a strong academic foundation.  The selection process is competitive.  For more information and to apply, go to  www.shad.ca


SWNA Junior Citizen of the Year Award - $3,000 (March deadline)
