St. Joseph High School can nominate ONE student who:
· Demonstrates superior academic performance.
· Original & creative thought
· Exceptional extra-curricular achievement in a broad context

The National Scholarship Program - The recipient of this book award is invited to apply for the University of Toronto National Scholarship

Applications for the 2026 Loran Award are now open!
The Loran Scholars Foundation identifies and supports students who demonstrate character, a deep commitment to service, and sparks of exceptional leadership potential.
Eligibility:
Be entering university for the first time in September 2026.
Present a minimum cumulative average of 85%.
Hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
Be born between January 1, 2004 and September 1, 2010.
To apply:
· The application is entirely online. Apply at apply.loranscholar.ca
· You will need to request a reference from a teacher, community member, or someone else who is familiar with your activities.
· Deadline to apply: October 16, 2025 before noon ET

The winners will be announced in early April 2026 and contacted via email.
Eligible students are invited to write and submit an online essay that is a minimum of 500 words in length, answering one of the following questions:
What does a “bright future” look like for you?
How have you demonstrated leadership or charity within your community to make it a better place?
How can we ensure fair and affordable housing for all Canadians?
ARE YOU A SASKATCHEWAN GRADE 11 OR 12 STUDENT EXPERIENCING A DISABILITY?
Let us help you to get the technology necessary to meet your individual needs and help you graduate high-school and/or pursue post-secondary education!
Up to $2,500 of equipment and support is available for eligible students for the 2025-2026 school year.
