If you are interested in attending college or university in the United States, you may be required to complete the SATs. This standardized exam tests your abilities in three areas: reading, writing and mathematical reasoning. Some post-secondary institutions may require additional exams, so it is important to research the school that you are interested in attending and know their admission requirements.

Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy gives you an individualized study plan that helps you focus on the areas you need to practice the most. It includes thousands of practice questions with instant feedback, video lessons, and eight full-length practice tests.
Both the SAT and ACT are accepted by most colleges in the U.S., and no preference is given to either test. Here are some of the major differences:
The SAT is given digitally everywhere, while the ACT is still offered on paper in most places with limited availability of a digital test.
The SAT is shorter (2 hours and 14 minutes for the SAT vs. 2 hours and 55 minutes for the ACT).
The SAT Reading and Writing section has reading passages that are short with only one question per passage. The reading passages- on the ACT are always long with 10 questions each.

Whether you are actively working with a recruiter/scout or you want to work towards getting noticed, it's in your best interest to create an account with the NCAA. This will help you prepare ahead of time all the documents and paperwork you might need for future college applications. It also helps you get noticed from other institutions that might not even be on your radar yet.
There are three different types of accounts you can make:
Profile Page Account
Athletics Certification Account (this is recommended for international students)
Academic and Athletics Certification Account
Use this checklist to find out which account is the best fit for you.

Need help with registering? Contact the Eligibility Center at 877-262-1492, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time. International student-athletes (including Quebec) should use the International Contact Form to submit questions.
