The Saskatoon Industry-Education Council (SIEC) is a bridge between Saskatchewan’s career opportunities and Saskatoon area youth. Through a partnership among business, K-12, and post-secondary schools, unique hands-on career exploration events, and programs are designed and delivered to students, helping them find a career that connects their passion and natural talents with current and future workforce needs.

Focuses on developing, managing, and marketing tourism activities
Great for students interested in recreation, community development, marketing, event planning and tourism

Discover exciting career paths within the Saskatoon Police Service, engage in interactive, hands-on activities, and gain valuable insights from the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Justice Studies Program and Saskatchewan Correctional Officers.

Sessions will include hands-on practice in all forms of welding including, MIG, TIG and stick. It will also include a visit to a local welding shop to meet with industry professionals and a shop tour.

SPOTLIGHT ON CAREERS: THINK TOURISM CITY-WIDE SCAVENGER HUNT
Wednesday, March 12 (9:00 am – 3:00 pm)
· Students will board a luxury tour bus for an engaging and interactive day exploring tourism careers, building workplace health and safety knowledge, and discovering Saskatoon’s top attractions.
· The experience includes free swag and a networking lunch at Wanuskewin Heritage Park, where students will connect with peers and industry leaders who can help kickstart their tourism careers—be sure to bring your resume!

·Students will explore SaskPolytech, hear from the Joseph A. Remai School of Construction programs, and tour a live construction site.
·This event includes an opportunity to meet local industry leaders and learn about the construction sector in Saskatchewan.
