Students will gain knowledge and apply practical skills to build gadgets which involve construction of electronic circuitry and electromechanical systems. The study integrates basic engineering and physics theory with practical application in project construction.
The unit allows for a ‘hands-on’ approach, as students apply their knowledge and skills to construct fully functioning electromechanical systems that incorporate sensors, processors, output devices and other sub systems.
Ability to identify basic electronic and mechanical components in a variety of electromechanical devices.
Ability to construct, test and evaluate an electromechanical system.
