Bridging Maths is an elective unit will be purely dedicated to students who need that extra transition support from Junior to Senior maths across all the General and Advanced Maths Streams. This is a co-requiste unit for those who receive a 'Conditional Recommendation' for General or Advanced Maths in Year 10. It is also optional for those who have been 'Recommended' for General Maths but feel they require some extra support during the transition to Year 10. In this course, we will cover a range of fundamental mathematical skills including the manipulation and conversion of fractions, decimals, and percentages; the application of the order of operations; techniques for rounding and specifying decimal places; the use of scientific notation; understanding and applying index laws and distributive laws; and the analysis and interpretation of linear and non-linear graphs.
