An introduction to the core components of VCE Business Management and Accounting, this subject aims to give students an insightful and practical view into both of these disciplines. The subject’s theory components will cover central aspects of Business Management and Accounting including basic features, their role in society and their interaction with one another. Both areas will then be put into practice by the students through a hands-on project that will ask them to: find a gap in the market, propose a key idea, create a business plan and then identify and explain the required assets and liabilties to start the business.
Student is able to analyse key aspects of a business, including capital requirements, competition and marketing strategies.
Student is able to employ basic accounting practices in the recording of business finances.
