This unit is recommended for students aiming to complete VCE Physics. In this course, students will engage with a range of physics topics and apply different key scientific and analytical skills to understand the world around us. Students will investigate circuit electricity and the transfer and transformations of electrical energy, as well as magnetism and electromagnetism.
Students will then extend their knowledge from year 9 physics and apply VCE-level skills to their understanding of motion and forces. Students then also look at the life cycles of stars and the formation of the universe, and discussing the formation of a scientific theory through observation.
Students will develop key scientific skills through experimentation, report writing, research and problem-solving, and key content knowledge aligned to the VCE Physics Study Design.
