2D Graphic Design & 3D Model Making
Design is everywhere. The posters, brochures, logos, websites, magazines, signage, and packaging you see every day. The things you use: from your phone to your toothbrush, your clothes, and the buildings and spaces you rest, work and play in. In ‘Design: 2D Graphics & 3D Model Making’ we learn about graphic design, environmental design and designing the products we live with and use every day.
Focus for study in year 10 includes: poster and package design; fashion and wearable design; and the design of 3D products and spaces for work and play. This subject has a very 'hands-on' approach and enables development of design knowledge and design creative thinking skills, using a range of materials and methods, from traditional pencil drawing, to digital imaging, to using laser-cutting technology and 3D printing to assist with making models of products and architectural designs.
This subject is ideal preparation for any student considering doing Visual Communication Design in VCE.
