Measuring with Tape Measure
Measuring ACCURATELY with the Tape Measure
Make sure that you are reading the tape measure correctly.
The very end of the tape measure is ZERO.
To measure ONE centimeter (cm): from ZERO, you measure to the next line that crosses the tape measure completely. That is the ONE cm mark.
Example Measurement
If you want to use PORT VIEW to measure how many degrees you need in order to make your robot move 4 cm, you need to do the following:
Align the tail of your robot with the end of the tape measure, which is ZERO.
With PORT VIEW open and set to zero, gently roll your robot as straight as you can until the tail is aligned with the 4 cm mark.
Make sure you are aligning with the correct mark on the tape measure or your distance will not be accurate.
