Our robot is made up of three powered components: a belt driven forklift, a drivetrain, and a rod grabbing mechanism. The drivetrain has powered wheels which allow us to move our robot along the playing field. The grabbing mechanism is composed of a gear with two sliding arms which can squeeze together a payload to transport securely along the playing field. Our forklift has a belt and pulley system which allows us to raise and lower the grabbing mechanism to reach high items.
