Your job as a MAE3-POKEMASTER is to battle head to head against your classmates to collect and score as many pokeballs as you can in the 60 second time limit. The contest will consist of three main areas.
1) The Pokestop:
This is where you will collect pokeballs and use them to score points. There are 20 balls per side, 40 in total.
2) The Starting Box:
This is where your robot must start. It must fit within a 10x10x21in box. It may start attached to the rail, bolted to the table, or just resting on the table.
3) The Pokegym:
This is where you score points.
Scoring:
1pt = inside the scoring area. Pokeballs must be touching the ground to count.
3pts = on the shelf. Pokeballs must be touching the shelf to count. Note: not pictured here is a small lip that will prevent balls from rolling off the shelf
5pts = inside the pokehole. Pokeballs must pass the vertical plane of the scoreboard to count.
