Angry Birds
We have been inspired by innovative and determined birds as shown in a Movie Clip (image from www.forbes.com)
Contest Description:
Two families of bird have been peacefully resting in their nests on opposite sides of town. One day they woke up and found that 3 piggies have invaded their town and setup positions on top of their buildings From prior experience with piggies, these birds knew that immediate action was necessary. Your job is to build a robot that will rouse the birds from their nests and remove the piggies from the building tops.
Contest table overview:
The contest field is separated into two halves, A and B. Your team will be arbitrarily assigned to start in the A or B half. Your robot must start within the 10"x10"x22" starting box in the designated starting area and may travel anywhere on the playing field during the 60 second contest duration. Note that a rail goes through the starting area and a robot may start suspended on the rail, but it does not have to. The base of the starting area has threaded holes, and the robots may be bolted to these holes if desired. See contest table for actual dimensions.
