rathi Basin, located in Arathi Highlands, is a fast and exciting Battleground. The Basin itself is rich with resources and coveted by both the Horde and the Alliance. The Forsaken Defilers and the League of Arathor have arrived at Arathi Basin to wage war over these natural resources and claim them on behalf of their respective sides. (This robotic interpretation has been inspired by Chris Cassidy.)
General Contest Information: Have your robot claim the battleground resources (the orange balls) before the robot on the other side does by getting them to your side of the battlegrounds! At the same time deploy your battle forces (the blue rings) to the other side of the battlegrounds to over run them and claim them as yours.
In the robotic interpretation there are two sides to the playing field which is split lengthwise as shown below. The robots compete head to head, each starting on a different side of the table, designated as Starting Areas A and B. A primary rail runs down the center of the playing field, while two secondary rails run lengthwise on either side of the table. On the primary rail are located the battleground resources (orange balls), with the tie breaking resources being the central gold ball. Each side has a bin adjacent to their starting area where resources can be safely stored. The objective of the contest is deploy as many as rings possible onto your opponents side of the playing field, while also bringing the resources onto your side of the table and even better into your bin.
