Professional Learning Communities

At Heathmont College, all teaching staff will engage in Professional Learning Communities across each semester. Education Support staff are also invited to participate in PLCs if they are interested.

What are PLCs?

PLCs meet semi regularly across the term and use the FISO improvement cycle as an organising structure to investigate teacher / ES practice and impact on student learning. Regular time is set aside for these meetings as part of the regular professional learning calendar and contribute to the third hour in the 38 hour week (VGSA2017).
