HC AoC

This document contains the text of the school's formal Acknowledgment of Country. It was developed in 2020 with input and feedback from our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and families with support from local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups and programs.

This Acknowledgment is used for formal events such as whole school assemblies, and special events. It can also be used for meetings but staff and students are encouraged to develop their own, personal acknowledgments to be used in meetings and other less formal events at the college.

Staff Cultural Action Plan

This document outlines the behaviours that staff at Heathmont College have agreed are ones that are necessary for us to really live our values when working together.

We developed this document across 2023 and will be revisiting it each year to make sure it remains relevant.

The behaviours outlined in this document describe behaviours of staff towards staff. The behaviours that we exhibit when working with children will be part of a separate process and developed later in 2023.
