1. Check Your WIFI (Internet) Connectivity

If applicable to your device, try turning Airplane Mode ON, then back OFF. Sometimes it helps to take the extra step and "disconnect/forget the network," then reconnect.

2. Clear Your "Browsing Data" (Cookies & Cache) In Your Internet Browser

This is a good habit to form, clearing your cookies and cache every couple weeks. This action is also useful when websites or images won't load properly.

Steps In Google Chrome on a desktop, laptop, or Chromebook:

  • Expand the Chrome Menu (3 vertical dots in the upper-right corner).

  • Hover over More Tools.

  • Click Clear Browsing Data.

  • In the pop-up window, set the Time Range to All Time.

  • Click Clear Data.

  • Repeat as needed. (We recommend making this a weekly habit.)

3. Shut Down, Then Restart

Do not just Sign Out or close the Chromebook lid; actually Shut Down. Once you sign out, there will be a Shut Down button in the lower-left corner and a shut down button in the lower-right.
