He was a sad, old man who lived alone.

Once upon a lifetime, he was happy.

He is old with knees that complain and groan.

Spent days in bed, never being sappy.

And then one day outside, he heard a moan.

He opened the door to find a baby;

No note, no one around, all abandoned.

He vowed to God he would raise the small child.

The small child was never left all alone.

The man did his best to make her happy.

She was a quiet one, never did moan.

Never ever one to be unhappy.

Her first celebration passed, candles blown,

One for herself and two to be happy;

The man was happy again, not burdened.

The girl grew older; they moved to England.

Now in England, the girl lived on her own.

She - twenty; the old man died at eighty.

A day ago, she’d never been alone.

She was scared, but she wasn't unhappy.

She walks by stores; thinking she saw his clone.

A dog was adopted and named Bambi.

She stayed inside; read about Ireland.

The girl had never felt so abandoned.

Although she had Bambi, she was alone.

She went to find work to make her chatty.

She was hired for a store called Salone.

Salone was a salon from the sixties.

There she met her future husband, Sloan.

They got married and were very happy.

The girl talked about being abandoned.

They honored the old man for what he did.
