when i get disrespected

Ring! The high school bell roared, like an African lion. I left English, as I hummed “L.A. Love Song” by XYLØ. The hallway turned into a zoo of students and teachers. I slithered, like a snake hunting a rat. In front of the library, Mr. Lynch was as solid as a stone. Mr. Lynch announced, “Mr. Kupiec’s Creative Writing class will be in the cafeteria.” I was a whale, as I swam down the stairs into the cafeteria. The cafeteria was a map. Mr. Kupiec and his students dotted the tables. I turned on my chromebook and sipped my pink lemonade. I felt relaxed, until I saw him. His hair rippled, like a tsunami off the coast of southern Thailand. His glasses glistened and his cauldron black locks became a swaying flag in the wind. Like a Soviet atomic bomb during the Cold War, his legs detonated on the table. His filthy shoes mimicked Japanese kamikazes during the War In The Pacific, striking the table with dirt and dust. I cringed at the horrific sight. He believed he was respectful, but his actions said otherwise. I questioned my existence. How could anyone perform such an unforgivable sign of disrespect?

epiphany story

Maria was a prized, female head chef in New York City, New York, United States. She loved to cook from a young age. Her father and mother taught her how to cook food. Her first meal was lasagna which she later on learned how to cook blindfolded in her own kitchen. She took cooking education classes in middle school and high school. Maria didn’t like it when people didn’t try her foods during class. She would pour her heart out into cooking those meals. She absolutely loved to cook spicy, sweet, and salty meals for her friends and family. She taught her brother Kyle how to cook. She cooked for her family each night. Her family loved her cooking. She loved to bake cakes and cupcakes for the school bake sales. Sometimes she would help the cafeteria workers during lunch to make sure the meals were delicious. She loved to help. After high school, she went to a cooking school for culinary arts. She received a scholarship for her splendid cooking. She did not have to pay anything. Her fees were covered. She made sure every meal was tasty and savory. The teachers loved the way she had cooked. She had high grades and was the valedictorian. Then, she was referred by a teacher to join a five-star restaurant in the bustling streets of New York City. Maria was overjoyed by the tempting offer. She agreed to the offer. She was on washing dishes duty and made her way up to cooking food for the guests. Next, she decided to be a waiter for a little while. Then, she cooked again and became the head chef at the restaurant. She made sure the restaurant was a five-star restaurant. The manager loved the way she cooked. The guests always wanted to talk to her. She wrote two recipe books which were published. A lot of them were sold throughout the world. She earned a lot of money. She tutored a few culinary students in the arts of cooking and baking. She was a nice teacher and did not charge much. She was admired throughout the cooking industry. She made sure her workers were efficient and disciplined. Every Thanksgiving, she would make sure to cook several meals for the homeless and have them delivered to them personally. She felt sympathy for the homeless and hoped they were able to eat with her help. Once she served a customer who ended up being her husband Mason, they ended up having two children. One of them was a girl and the other was a boy. Their names are Angelica and Francis. Her husband loved to cook too and was hired to cook at the restaurant as well. One day in New York City, she was in the kitchen cooking savory meals with the other workers. It was a busy day that day. One waiter suspected that one of the customers was a food critic for one of the top food magazines read throughout the entire planet. She was surprised a food critic was in their restaurant. She made sure her workers were prepared to serve the perfect meal for the possible food critic in their restaurant. She wanted to cook and prepare her world famous lasagna with tomato sauce. Her grandmother taught her the lasagna recipe before she passed away. She cooked the meal. The other workers helped. She wasn’t sure if the food critic was a food critic, regarding his attire in the restaurant. Maria had come to the realization that the customer was a food critic. Her epiphany that he was a food critic was true. His name was Christopher and he ate the meal. He asked to eat the same meal again. When Maria came home, she read online on her computer that the food critic that came to her restaurant gave the restaurant a great review on the internet. She was very happy and made sure to tell her husband. The workers had a corporate party the next day to celebrate their victory. Meals were served all around and everyone was delighted. The waiters were invited too. Several workers and waiters received promotions and higher pays for their huge success.
