Panic At McDonald's

The human’s thoughts and fears made the demons in my stomach chant loudly, indicating that I was approaching tonight's dinner. They were telling me to cross the street and soon enough I was in front of a bright McDonald’s sign. As I entered I was hit with an emotion I couldn’t describe, it was as if everyone was scared for their lives, and I didn't even show them my real form yet.

In front of me stood four really well built men holding pathetic guns. I licked my lips. I could sense their cold hearts. The poor cashier wasn’t shoving enough money inside of the bag, causing one of the killers to shoot a crying child. The mother’s screams died slowly and she just started sobbing; it almost made me laugh. The guy holding the gun pressed the rifle against the cashier's head. “Faster!” the thief ordered while his friends started teasing the other customers.

“Why hello there, my dear friends” I sang. “Why wasn’t I invited to the party?” The thief at the cashier jumped and fired. My mouth shut catching the bullet with my teeth. There was silence.

My attention was caught by thief who was struggling to speak “H-he’s-he’s a Witch!” I rolled my eyes.

“No, sweetie, witches are girls. I think you mean warlock. But really? Witch. That was the best you could do?” I said.

“Get out, witch!” One of the other thieves threatened me, yet the smell of his fear was really tempting me to rip of his head off and start feasting on him already. “Get out or else it will be the biggest mistake of your life” he threatened again.

Please. If you want to know about mistakes why don’t you ask your parents?” I spat out. He got so mad he was turning red and I could see a vein popping out on the left side of his forehead.

“If you don’t leave, then she dies” one of the thieves said pressing the gun against the cashier.

I put my hand on my forehead “Oh no! Whatever shall I do?” I said in an exaggerated voice. “Wait I know exactly what to do.” My eyes started turning black and I started smiling wickedly.

You may be wondering why there are demons inside of me. Well, it is my job to make sure these demons stay happy and don’t go into other people. Picture demon’s pouring their anger into a jar and the jar refills once a week. It is my job to release this anger on earth so I can empty out the jar. This way the jar will not overflow and explode and release hungry monsters thirsty for blood. These demons will always visit the jar, my body, and they wait there so I can release their anger by killing people.

Anyways, back to McDonald’s. The thief who was holding the cashier pushed her to the ground and fired at me. The sound of the bullet made the hungry souls excited and I lunged at him. My hands pinned him to the ground and I felt his last breath before my sharp nails clawed him off his face. After I did that, my hand sunk into his oozing flesh grabbing his spine and then crushing it. His screams were music to my ears and made me want to torture him even more. It only satisfied one demon which meant I had a lot more to go. “Kill him!” the thief called out, hiding behind the cashier lady. I pulled out my knife from my boot. I was on the floor and didn’t have enough time to stand up, so I crawled backwards while they were shooting at me.

The thief charged at me. I jumped above him and drove my knife into his back. His shouts filled me with adrenaline and I pulled the knife out dodged I one of his fists and bent his other arm. Then I shoved my hands into his eyes and pulled his eyes out of its sockets. Then I whipped them around like a helicopter. To finish it off, I stabbed him once more in the chest. I really do love stabbing people.

There were two bodies on the floor and demons were screaming and laughing in pleasure at the sobbing thieves. They were telling me a bullet was heading my way, so I ducked quickly, sweeping my leg so I could knock the shooter off his feet. More guns began firing, and I scurried quickly behind a booth. The last shooter was a booth away. I quickly gathered butter knives and jumped off the table. I landed on my boots and stabbed him in the eye. “Eyeball Kabobs anyone?” I said laughing. “No one? Okay.” I licked the blood running down my blade “Can you guys stop staring at me I’m shy?” I asked sweetly.

Suddenly customers started jumping to their feets and and some even face planted onto the puddles of blood. A woman even tripped over one of the bodies and ran screaming to the exit.

There were just two people left here; the cashier and the last thief. “I want a go,” he threatened but his voice came out cracked.

“Go right ahead,” I said. He tossed the cashier to the side and pointed the gun at my nonexistent heart. His eyes turned black and his skin started to become scaly. No wonder when I came in I felt that weird emotion I couldn’t describe it wasn’t the people; it was him: he was a demon. The gun was empty so he threw it to the side and I could see him desperately searching for another weapon. I can’t believe he actually thought a gun could scare or kill me he was probably a new demon. He tried to run away but I caught him by the shirt and threw him to the ground. “You killing that child was not necessary!”

I crawled on top of him. I was almost done emptying my jar: only one more demon to go. “Stop. P-please.” he begged. Our eyes met, demon to demon. I was shocked. He was not a demon but he was possessed by one. Hell rarely allowed a demon on earth I was the only one eligible to roam earth. I bit into his arm, ripping out a big chunk of his flesh. A human scream and a demon howl came from him; it was music to my ears. His body was trembling he whispered,“who are you?”

I could feel his heart beating faster by the minute. His eyes bulged out “ N-no, not you” he said with realization.

“YesI said with my best smile. I lowered my face so it was only centimeters from his

“No it c-can’t be. How is this possible? Y-you’re not real.”

“Sorry but I am real.” I was about to stab him but he interrupted me

“There’s a new rule in our hometown. Now demons will be able to come to earth whenever they please. We will destr-” I stabbed him the heart before he could finish speaking, twisting the blade so I could hear his heart tear. He probably would be back but in another body. Demons cannot be killed on earth they are just sent back to hell.

“You can come out now, Miss Cashier.” Moments passes before I saw her slowly come out of hiding.

After that I went home and waited for the jar to refill again.
