February 3 - Download Blocked by Chrome
If you receive an error message such as "Blocked by you organization" when downloading, it is a result of a security feature enforced by the district on the Chrome Browser.
February 17 - Version History
Version history is a feature in all Google docs that provides valuable information about the creation and edits applied to a Google doc.
February 23 - Locked Quiz
Students can be locked to a quiz tab when using the Quiz Form in Google classroom. This will prevent students from opening tabs to brows other sites. Either paragraph, short answer or multiple choice questions can be added. Please note that students must be on a Chromebook to enable this feature.
January 6 - Student Passwords
When a student's deltalearns account is compromised, it is often the result of a weak password, or the student leaving a work station or Chromebook unsupervised while still logged in. This week's TechTip show how teachers can view passwords through Teacher Connect, and guide students through the process of changing passwords.

Beginning in late January, form owners and editors will be able to set a specific date and time to close the form, or set a certain number of responses that will trigger the form to close automatically.
January 27 - Student Security Awareness.
Focused Education resources along with Fortinet have developed security awareness lessons for students on topics that include password security, how to recognize phishing scams, cyberbullying, social media and more. Lessons are grouped for ages 8-11, 12 - 14, and 15 - 18.
December 3 - Removing Ads from YouTube

November 4 - Creating Single Sided Printing Preset
District computers are defaulted to print double sided. Although this can save paper, there are times where single sided printing is required. This weeks TechTip shows how to set single sided printing as one of the defaults that can be easily applied.
November 18 - Generate Slide in Gemini
Using Canvas in Gemini, users can create Google slides presentations. These presentations are easily exported to Slides where they can be further edited, or can be downloaded.

Oct 21 - Archiving Google Classrooms
It is important that teachers either remove students, or archive Classrooms. By doing so it removes the opportunity for students to chat using the Classroom stream in an unmonitored environment, as well as declutters the number of classroom tiles students have.
Oct 28 - Deleting and Reinstalling Printers MacOS
We are receiving reports from users who have upgraded to OS 26 Tahoe that they are unable to print. To resolve the issue please delete (remove) the printers and reinstall as shown in this video. Please note that the reinstall must be completed while on the SD37-Open Network.
