The Delta School district provides educators and students access to Google Workspace for education. This platform is the primary teaching and learning digital platform in the district, that provides users with a greater security and privacy features than a regular google account. Before creating an account for staff or students, please refer to the Acceptable and Unacceptable Use Guidelines on the Privacy page. Gmail - Staff and Students will be provided with a Google-hosted District email account. This email system provides all the functionality of Gmail. At this time, most Grades 4-6 students will not be given access to Gmail, unless requested by the school's teaching and administrative staff.
Docs, Slides, Sheets - Much like the Microsoft Office, this suite of online tools is accessible anywhere, on any device. Staff and students can individually and collaboratively build documents, presentations, spreadsheets, drawings and more.
Drive - This tool provides staff and students with secure storage of any file type, including videos, images and audio files. These can be uploaded, stored and shared in Google Drive.
Calendar - Staff and Students have access to a Calendar tool that can be used to organize a classroom, a sports team, an extra curricular club or just help a student stay on top of their assignments.
Classroom - Google Classroom provides a way for teachers to organize a Google-based classroom, setting up ways to share documents and assignments, collect work from students, and track student progress.
