What to use?
At this time AI should not be used with students, but can it be used to develop curriculum or resources. As teachers there are many tools that can be very useful. The following tools have been identified and shared by trusted educators:
Microsoft Copilot - https://copilot.microsoft.com/ - copilot is an Ai Chat bot that is built on Chat GPT and associated tools like DALL E 3. Copilot also protects and secures your data as it is a part of our O365 tenant. To login use your @deltaschools.ca email and password.
Conker - https://www.conker.ai/ - Conker lets you create multiple-choice, read-and-respond, and fill-in-the-blank quizzes for students at a variety of levels on specific topics. It will also let you copy/paste reading material to generate quizzes. Allow integration
Diffit.me - https://diffit.me/ - Diffit.me can modify texts at different levels and in different languages. It can also create a summary, key vocabulary words, comprehension questions, and open-ended questions that can be used in assignments or for class discussions.
Eduaide.ai - https://www.eduaide.ai/ - Provides many of the same tools as MagicSchool, and helps get teachers started by providing prompts:
Select your subject and grade
Select a resource to create
Enter a topic, statement or standard
It is then added to a workspace where it can be edited and then exported.
Hello History - https://www.hellohistory.ai/for-education - This is an iOS and Android app that can be used to have life-like conversations with historical figures and characters. Teachers may use it to lead class discussions with these figures to get their personal perspective.
MagicSchool.ai - https://www.magicschool.ai/ - Provides a variety of tools including YouTube question generator, Rubric maker, planning tools for many types of assignments and accommodation suggestion generator.
