The only browser that will work with Read&Write is the Chrome Browser. On Macs and Windows machines you will also need to log into the browser to access the extension. This video will help explain the solution.
You are either not signed into Chrome, or have not signed in with your @deltalearns.ca google account to both Google and Chrome (see video).
Ensure that the permissions have been “allowed”. As you use a number of tools you will be required to select your @deltalearns account, and select “Allow” when making use of them for the first time.
If the Permission dialogue box is not visible, it may be hidden behind the browser window. If it still cannot be seen, sign out of Chrome and sign back in.
Try Refreshing the browser. This clears up most problems you may encounter using Read&Write.
Read&Write for Mac can be installed using the Delta School District Self Service app.
Most documents that are scanned are not true PDF’s, but there is a way to make them full accessible by using a OCR converter. Both Mac’s and Windows Machine can now install Read & Write which has a built in converter. The videos below demonstrate the process:

By going to https://datadesk.texthelp.com teachers can login to set the features available for either the entire class, or individual students. To learn how to control which features students have access to please watch this short video.
On the far right if the toolbar select the three horizontal dots, and then options. This gives you access to many of the settings, include the speed at which the text is read. To change the speed settings for speech, from options select speech, and slide the speed to the desired speed (between 30 -35 is recommended).
