In mid June Google announced some privacy and security changes that will impact deltalearns Google accounts for user who are 18 and under (Students).
This change will impact students when they sign into an app or service using the “Sign in with Google Option”, with their deltalearns.ca Google account.
Beginning October 3, 2023, students will no longer be able to use this method to sign in. When using this method users will see the image below, and have access to the app or website blocked.
We realize that some apps and services may be critical for teaching and learning. Some of these have been identifies, and student access should not be interrupted. There may be others that have not been identified, and we ask that you share these with the school's administration, after watching the video to the right.
As students may also be using this method of authentication for personal apps and websites, please remind Students:
That this change is upcoming and will take effect October 3.
They will need to change how they access personal apps and websites before October 3, 2023. This may require the use of a personal email, or account.
