This page shows how to log onto the Safer Community app for Catholic University, and use its features.
Launch the Safer Community app on your mobile device.

Identify yourself as a member of the Catholic University community by specifying your Cardinal email address at the prompt.
Authenticate your identity by logging on with your Cardinal username and password.
Use your username only, not your whole email address.
Navigate to the middle of your screen, click ‘Show Status Card/QR Code’. You will do this each time you need to check-in for a COVID Test.

This page shows your status with respect to CatholicU's COVID protocols and testing.
Swipe left over the center graphic to display your Check-In QR Code.

Swipe right over the Check-In QR Code to return to the status display.
When you log in after taking a COVID test, the Safer Community App identifies whether there has been a change in status. In this example, this person received a Negative COVID Test result.
Click ‘See Next Steps’ at the bottom of your screen to view additional guidance.
Based on your testing result, additional guidance will be offered. With this example, the result was negative. The result can be one of the following:
Negative
Positive
Invalid (meaning your sample was not a ‘good sample’ and unable to yield a result)
Inconclusive (meaning the lab was unable to measure a result)
Rejected (meaning your sample could not be run by the lab)
From the app homepage, you can click ‘View Health History’ to see a summary of all of your recent COVID Test history (PCR saliva tests only).
A history of your PCR saliva COVID tests is displayed. In this example, one test has been performed.
