Where do the downloaded recordings go?

Your web browser places files you download into your computer's Downloads folder, unless you have changed your browser's default settings.

The name of each downloaded Zoom file is of format "GMTyyyymmdd-hhmmss-title.type" where yyyymmdd is the date of the recording, hhmmss is the start time of the recording (in timezone GMT), title is the first portion of the meeting title along with an optional technical description, and type is the file type.

The video recording of the meeting is downloaded as file type .mp4. The audio only recording is downloaded as file type .m4a. The Chat transcript, if there was a Chat, is downloaded as file type .txt.

Archive lecture recordings

Do NOT archive recordings to Cardinal Learn (Blackboard). If you need to stream one of your archived recordings, you can upload it to Panopto.

NOTE: Once a recording is deleted on the Zoom Cloud, the zoom.us URL web link you had to it will no longer work.
