Dear Parents and Guardians,
We're sailing through the first quarter and we're delighted with the progress our learners are making. We have a few things coming up, an important to-do item for parents, and ways we need your support.
This week, we're talking about:
Residency Verification
Referrals Wanted
PTO - Meeting on 9/24
Got a Story? Share it on camera!
Support Our School
Using RoundUp at Walmart - Sign up now and Walmart donates MORE to CPDLF!
Pickle Me Poconos
It's time to get that residency verification completed! The deadline required by the state is rapidly approaching. The good news is that you only need to do this once per school year. We've done our best to simplify the process for you and outline which types of documents qualify for residency verification.
Access this information by logging into PowerSchool. Not sure how? Watch the video linked here.
CPDLF is growing and we have room for more! If you know of a family looking for flexible, individualized education, send them to us. Referrals from current CPDLF families tend to be very successful because you know what it takes to thrive at CPDLF and how CPDLF can solve problems for families who aren't enjoying their current school situation.
Please send names of interested parent/guardians, phone number, and email address to pr@cpdlf.org. We'll ensure your learner gets PBIS points as a "thank you!"
Our PTO is officially forming for their first full-length school year! If you'd like information on how to get involved, please email Alicja Snyder at pto@cpdlf.org. You can also find more information on the CPDLF PTO Facebook page. The PTO will be planning to elect officers for this school year and discussing events we can host for our learners. Right now, there are plans to bring in authors for virtual Meet the Author sessions and other in-person and virtual special events.
Thursday, September 24 @ 2:00 p.m. (See Facebook for meeting details.)
CPDLF wants to feature family stories! Tell us how CPDLF works for you, how you came to cyber school, and how this has made a difference for your learner.
We want to hear from everyone! Your testimonial is important in telling our story because we believe each family has something special to say about their own journey.
Send a quick video about your CPDLF experience to pr@cpdlf.org or plan to join as at one of our locations on the date listed below. Professional interviewers and a videographer will be present to capture your story.
SLC - Monday, September 28, 2026, 12:45 pm until 2:00 pm
ALC - Tuesday, September 29 2026, 9:45 am until 12:00 pm
Join us September 26th at the Pickle Me Poconos Festival! We'll be there from 12-6 and we'd like to see as many CPDLF families from the SLC region as possible. This event is free and fun for the whole family!
Stop by and participate in a pickle-themed craft! It's kind of big dill. ;)
Parents - do you know of child-oriented festivals and events? Tell us! Send a quick email to ceo@cpdlf.org.
Don’t forget that you can help your school by participating in:
Box Tops for Education - scan your receipt after shopping!
Round Up Program - perfect for online orders, credit card transactions, and stores like Walmart!
Our School Spirit Store - represent CPDLF in comfy, cozy CPDLF gear!
Zeffy Donations - help us replenish our PBIS store for your learner!
We're excited to share a new way you can support CPDLF — without changing how you spend. It's called RoundUp.org.
Here's how it works: every time you make a purchase, your total is rounded up to the nearest dollar, and the spare change goes to support CPDLF. Grab a coffee, groceries, gas — it all adds up to meaningful, ongoing support. Get started here.
It takes about 30 seconds to set up, and then it runs quietly in the background. Small change. Real impact. Thank you for being part of this community! All proceeds will support our PBIS rewards.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions about the topics we discussed in this newsletter. Don't forget that Checkpoint #1 is coming up on September 25th - encourage your learner to keep up the momentum!
