We know testing isn’t always a favorite—but it plays an important role. This is your learner’s opportunity to show what they’ve learned this year. These assessments help us understand how to best support each child’s continued growth, and they are a key way our school is evaluated. Strong participation ensures CPDLF remains a trusted, accountable, and high-quality educational option for families.

Your Voice Matters: Advocate for Cyber Education

CPDLF families play an important role in shaping the future of cyber education. We encourage you to reach out to your state legislators, share your story, and help them understand why cyber schools matter for your child and your family.

Recent legislative decisions have created new challenges for cyber schools—impacting funding, enrollment policies, and additional requirements that are not applied equally to all public school options. These changes affect the resources available to support your learner and the long-term accessibility of cyber education.

As an example, here are some things that have changed your child’s education since the last state budget meetings:

• Fewer dollars allocated annually per child for those who choose cyber.

• Habitually truant students may not enroll in cyber school - but they CAN enroll in their local district’s cyber school.

• Residency verifications are now required for cyber schools, but not brick and mortar schools.

These are inequities. Your child should have the same opportunities and access as they would in any other public school setting.
