What a busy first week! We are so pleased to see our learners and start the new school - it's going to be a great one! We're grateful for patience and grace from our staff and our CPDLF families as we navigate these new systems together.

Growth Mindset: Growing Together

This month, we’ve been talking with learners about growth mindset—the idea that challenges aren’t roadblocks, but opportunities to learn, adapt, and improve. And right now, that lesson applies to all of us.

The start of this school year has brought new systems and platforms to learn, along with new state requirements that affect our learners and families, including wellness checks and updated attendance expectations. Change—even positive or necessary change—can take some getting used to.

We are incredibly grateful for the patience, flexibility, and feedback our families have shown as we navigate these changes together. Our team is learning, adjusting, troubleshooting, and improving right alongside you.

That’s growth mindset in action: we may not have everything mastered on day one, but we keep learning, keep communicating, and keep getting better.

Thank you for growing with us and for keeping our shared priority at the center of it all: creating the best possible learning experience for every CPDLF learner.

Getting logged into the Parent Portal in PowerSchool - this is due ASAP, if you haven't done it already.

Fusia Begins Soon

Our first day of Fusia classes begins September 1. If you'd like your learner to be part of the Arts & Academics program, please email schoolcounselor@cpdlf.org.

The CPDLF Badgers

While we're on the subject of a growth mindset, let's talk about a character trait that goes along with it: being a tenacious problem-solver. Growth comes from having the strength to push yourself through a barrier or obstacle.

We don't give up when there's a minor setback! We gather our courage, we ask questions, we explore other options, and we use our resources to keep working through the problem.

Our learners who keep a growth mindset and cultivate tenacity become unstoppable CPDLF Honey Badgers!
