We have some exciting events on the calendar! We're working to celebrate our learners and end the year strong. We know this is a busy time for families, so we're putting the most important details on this page. Keep reading to see what's new.

SIP: Learner Feedback Sessions

In a school designed for learners, it's pretty important to listen to what the learners have to say about their education! That's why we're hosting live feedback discussions with Dr. Maurer. This is the chance for learners to join a judgement-free session to tell her what they observe about their education, things they'd like to do moving forward, and ways to improve their experience.

There was an in-person session at the Altoona Learning Center on April 14 (1:00) and several virtual options coming up this week at 9:30 on April 20, 22, 23, and 24. You can find the link for that Zoom session on the school calendar.

Learners of all ages are encouraged to attend to share their thoughts.

SIP: Focus Groups - Final Week

It's the last week for collecting feedback from parents about their experience at CPDLF. We're making it easy for you by providing two different ways to participate - either in a personal Zoom session or through a feedback form.

Fill out this form that contains 10 open ended questions before April 24th.
Book a 30 minute appointment with me before April 24th. We can meet via Zoom or phone, whichever works for you. If you need evening or weekend time, please contact me at mmaurer@cpdlf.org.

Celebrating Cyber Day

Save the date for May 12. We're spreading the word that cyber education is an educational choice that works for our students. There are a few ways to get your family involved and we'll be sending out more information at the beginning of May.

You can begin by sharing your story with us. Please send an email to pr@cpdlf.org telling us you're interested in sharing how cyber has impacted your learner.

You, your friends, your family, and community stakeholders are cordially invited to FUSION: Five Years of Infusing Arts into Academics.

This milestone event marks five years of collaboration between CPDLF and Fusia Center for the Arts—five years of intentionally blending creativity and academics to expand opportunity for learners across Pennsylvania.

Join us for food, fun, and family entertainment as learners showcase projects from this school year. There will be live performances by CPDLF learners, showcases of academic projects, and real examples of how flexible learning empowers children. Please join us!

Advocate for Your Child

Cyber schools are at risk and YOU have the chance to help us. In fact, it’s critical that parents and families get involved in speaking out for education so that your choices don’t become limited.

Over the last two years, our Governor and lawmakers in Harrisburg have cut nearly $300 million from public cyber charter schools. These budget cuts come directly from the money owed to support your child's public school education. What's worse? They're proposing another $75 million!

We want every child in Pennsylvania to have their fair share of funding AND the choice to attend the school that works best for them.

We need our CPDLF families to reach out to their local legislators and tell them why CPDLF matters. Follow this link to search for your legislator. Send them a letter or email about your child's story and what public cyber school does for your family.

As we head into state testing season, encourage your child to attend their testing session, if applicable, and to do their best. We appreciate your participation and encouragement.
