Thank you for working with us and your school district. We're at 98% complete for these residency verifications and we're so proud of our school community.
You are AWESOME!
If you have not yet completed the Parent Survey for our School Improvement Plan, please take a few minutes to do so by March 20, 2026.
Your voice matters. Your feedback directly shapes how we strengthen programs, support learners, and continue improving the CPDLF experience. As of Tuesday, March 11, we only had 25 parent responses. We would truly appreciate more responses so we have extended to the deadline to March 20, 2026.
On February 11, 2026, Governor Shapiro signed into law amending the public school code to include the instruction of cursive writing that is to take effect within 60 days. Accordingly, the CPDLF team has worked on a plan to incorporate cursive handwriting instruction in grades 2 through 5 at the beginning of Checkpoint 7.
I understand that while it is not convenient for anyone to implement something new so quickly, it is what has been signed into law. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation if you have a child in grades 2 through 5. More information will be coming from the Principal, Mrs. Yahner, and your teachers. Thank you!
On March 12, 2026, the CPDLF Board of Trustees met for a regularly scheduled Board meeting. Here is the link to the public agenda. All of the items passed but of particular interest to you may be the following
The 2026-27 CPDLF School Calendar - The official version will be coming out soon but here is a little preview
First day of the 26-27 school year will be August 24, 2026.
Final day of the 26-27 school year will be June 2, 2027.
Board meetings will be moving to Tuesdays at 1:00 in the 26-27 school year. The calendar with the Board dates will be on the May Board agenda.
As we look toward the 2026-27 school year, CPDLF is committed to staying true to our mission while navigating the evolving landscape of cyber education and legislative changes. To ensure we continue to offer the high-quality, personalized experience your children deserve, the Board has voted to partner with Accel Schools.
This partnership is a proactive move to advance our school into its next chapter. We will be implementing the Accel Management Platform (AMP), which seamlessly integrates PowerSchool with a more user-friendly version of Canvas. For you, this means a more intuitive environment with better access to rigorous content, and for our teachers, it means less time on paperwork and more time in direct instruction with your learners.
We are also excited to work with Accel to share the CPDLF story with more families, helping our community grow. We know transition can bring questions, so we are dedicated to providing clear information and training sessions in the coming weeks.
As our Parent Board Member, Mrs. Marie Porcano, noted during our discussions: she is looking forward to how this unified system will allow her—and all our parents—to stay connected to her children’s progress more effectively and efficiently in one central place.
Stay tuned for session dates! We truly believe this is the 'upgrade' our families have been waiting for.
You can help us!
Reach out to your friends, family, and neighbors who may need a different educational solution for their child(ren) and get PBIS referral points for your child! Click here to access the enrollment request for information form: https://bit.ly/cpdlf_enrollment
Just remember to have them put your family’s name in the referral section and we’ll take it from there.
Reach out to Jessica, our Communications Coordinator, and share your story so we can help others discover CPDLF. Check out these stories of families who love CPDLF! She'll schedule a brief interview with you to learn what makes your story unique and produce an article that reflects your experience.
We are excited to announce that we have a few parents who are willing to get a PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) started here at CPDLF! More information will be coming soon but, in the meantime, if you are interested in joining the group, please complete this simple form to let us know.
We know that you are busy trying to help your learner be successful in their education and keep up with all the other “stuff” that life brings when you have children. That’s why we have created a hub of information on the web where we store past versions of these Parent Communications as well as keep relevant recurring information for you to access when you can get to it. Take a moment to check it out and bookmark to find it easily in the future - but if you're reading it here already, congratulations: you found it!
Have a great weekend and THANK YOU for helping to make CPDLF what it is today!
