We held our first annual celebration of the collaboration between CPDLF and Fusia Center for the Arts on May 19th. Between Zoom, the ALC, and SLC, we counted over 75 attendees!

Learners gathered to demonstrate projects they’ve worked on this school year. We saw vocal and dance performances, heard book reports, learned American Sign Language, watched a demonstration on how to make a cosplay, and learned about the risks of AI. We were absolutely impressed with the breadth and depth of our learners’ projects celebrating the unique combination of arts and academics only we can provide. 

We’re looking forward to making this an annual tradition!

We’re excited to share that CPDLF has been approved as a nonprofit organization through Walmart’s Spark Good Round Up program! 

Families who shop online at Walmart.com or through the Walmart App can now choose CPDLF as their preferred charity and round up their purchase total to the nearest dollar at checkout. Those extra cents are then donated directly to CPDLF to support programs that benefit our learners and their educational experience.

For example, if your order total is $23.45, you can round up to $24.00 and donate the extra $0.55 to CPDLF. It’s a simple way to make a meaningful impact over time!

Important reminders:
• Round Up is available only for online and app purchases.
• 100% of your rounded-up change goes directly to CPDLF.
• Donations are tax-deductible and receipts can be requested through your Walmart purchase history.
• You can turn Round Up on or off or change your selected charity at any time.

You’ve heard us mention that public cyber schools are at-risk of losing funding due to misconceptions. Your help in contacting your legislators this week has been appreciated. However, the risk - and the fight to protect school choice for families - is not over. 

We’ll find more opportunities to protect our school and elevate your voice. As we do, we’ll put those opportunities and important things to know on our Advocacy page on our website.

We created the Portrait of a Graduate as an aspirational picture of the skills, mindsets, and habits we hope every learner carries with them into the world. It also drives our decision-making along the way. By defining what success looks like beyond a diploma, we can design every part of the learning experience to ensure our graduates are ready to take on the world!
