Rpg Club

Here at Conroe high, we pride ourselves on two things; an all inclusive attitude towards our students and peers, and a vast amount of clubs to accommodate include them in.

RPG club (RPG meaning role playing game) is a rather popular club for the dice rolling creative types, and meet every Wednesday in room 115. Supervised by long time RPG veteran Mr. Kerry Chandler, new comers can expect;

"[...]we're always welcome to have more people join. Either as players or just as spectators. You're allowed to just come and watch. The big thing here is everybody here treats everybody with kindness. There's no judgments, no bias, no prejudice. It's an inclusive group for everybody to have fun with."

That's a noble goal, and certainly sounds safe, but what exactly would you be playing? That my friends is the amazing tabletop game of Dungeons & Dragons.

"In dungeons and Dragons you have players and a dungeon master. The dungeon master's job is to run the adventure. They can create one themselves or they can buy one already made, or they can download a free one. The players, they create a character. They pick a race and a class, a job basically, warrior, fighter, wizard, that kind of thing. A group of people come together with their characters and the dungeon master runs them through the adventure. Sometimes its very linear and they go from point A to point B;  sometimes, and what's preferred is that the players have a lot of agency and a lot of choice to decide what to do, and they work as a group while roleplaying as their characters."

The finer details of the game are best picked up whilst playing, like dice rolls, and ability scores and other whatnots. But D&D remains the same, a roleplaying campaign to have a genuine, thoughtful, and carefree adventure with friends. If that sounds fun, go down and play some, everybody loves them some D&D.
