Nov 14-15th

Hi everyone,

I hope you enjoyed your long weekend. Between being sick and writing report cards I didn't leave the house much over the weekend. This is a super short week at school. Thursday and Friday of this week is the annual PEITF Teacher's Convention. 

Literacy:

Last week the kindergarten team decided to get a jump start on Week 7 of Fundations after finishing up with our assessments. So on Thursday we introduced the letters /e/ and /r/. We will continue Tuesday and Wednesday with these letters. I will send home the worksheets tomorrow. With this being a short week we will skip introducing a new trick word and review the previous ones.

This week we will spend some time on nursery rhymes. This will be a great way to focus on rhyming.

Math:

We introduced patterns briefly for Halloween but now we will dive right in and spend a couple of weeks learning about different kinds of patterns and how they repeat.

Parent Teacher Interviews:

Next week is Parent Teacher Interviews. Ms.Dunn sent out an email with regards to how to sign up for interviews. On-line booking will open up at 9am tomorrow morning. I have opened up a few slots on Wednesday as well if anyone is interested in those.
