Year 11 Results Day: Thursday 22 August

Publication of results

We will publish results to the Student and Parent Portals as soon as possible after 8.00am on Thursday 15 August (Year 13) and Thursday 22 August (Year 11). Results cannot be given out by telephone.

IGCSE Drama and History results are published earlier than other GCSEs, and will be available via Parent and Student Portals on Tuesday 13 August. However, as we will be supporting Year 13 students and their families during that week, we ask that any queries related to those results wait until GCSE Results Day on 22 August.

Arriving at School

Students can collect paper copies of the results any time from 8.30am-12.00pm in the Sixth Form Centre. Please access the site via either the School Lane or Gym entrances. Refreshments will be available, and we very much hope that you are able to attend during the morning. 

Support and advice

Should you have any questions about the results or would like further advice and support on the day, please see Clare Heyes or Katie Williams, who will be stationed downstairs at the rear of the Sixth Form Centre. They will set up an appointment with the senior member of staff who will be best placed to help you. We can also speak to you via Google Meet, telephone or email on the day or in the days following, which you can set up by emailing katiewilliams@chschool.co.uk by calling 0161 488 3330 on Results Day or afterwards.

Heads of Departments will also be available in the Sixth Form Centre on Results Days so that they can celebrate students’ achievements with families, and offer guidance as appropriate.

For Year 11 students, the results envelope will be accompanied by a letter about the Sixth Form which should be read alongside the results. Should there be any requests to change Sixth Form subject choices, these need to be submitted to Miss Roskell, Assistant Head (Timetable) by midday on Friday 23 August. We are conscious that GCSE Results Day is followed by a Bank Holiday weekend, and so it is important that we have conversations about any potential changes before anyone departs for the long weekend.

Year 12 Induction Day

Details of the Year 12 Induction Day and the start of term for Year 12 pupils returning in September can be found in this letter here and we’ll also be communicating with families next week following Results Day.

Information about reviews of marking (commonly called ‘remarks’) can be found here via the Parent Site.

Celebrating your results 

Our External Relations Team will be covering the day and sharing your stories on CHS’s Blog (https://www.cheadlehulmeschool.co.uk/blog/) and social media channels, so you will see photographers capturing the morning’s activities.

If you would prefer us not to include your child’s name or photo in our exam coverage, please email er@chschool.co.uk by Monday 5th August.
