Academics (Infant & Junior School)
Providing education beyond participation
Our remote learning model has been developed in order to:
Include a high degree of interactivity. This includes use of Google Meet for whole-class and small group work, support and feedback. It will also include live feedback on pupil work through Google Docs, Seesaw, shared whiteboards, live quizzes and collaborative tasks.
Ensure a clear structure to each school day. Tasks are clearly defined for each timetabled lesson and pupils are expected to be available to work through these.
Calibrate the ‘right’ amount of work for each pupil. Teachers seek feedback from pupils and parents to ensure that there is not too much or too little work for any pupil.
To support and extend pupils as effectively as possible at this time, where appropriate we have introduced:
skills drills
interventions
regular reading groups
extension challenges
weekly open-ended research projects
If you have any questions, concerns or comments about our provision please don’t hesitate to contact your class teacher or Mr Vincent Weightman at vincentweightman@chschool.co.uk.
