We hope to make all pupils' move to CHS Sixth Form enjoyable. Here is how we plan do it:
June: A 'Sixth Form New Starter Information' email will be sent from CHS Admissions Team. This will include links to: crucial forms, uniform lists and digital device information. In addition, links to the Parents Site, the start of term arrangements and pastoral contact information for the start of term. An invitation to have a Transiton visit during the Summer Term (if desired) will also be included.
August: GCSE Results Day. We ask that pupils ring us on the morning as soon as possible, to let us know their results. We want to offer our congratulations and will ask for confirmation of subject choices whilst asking you to send an electronic copy of your results to us. Students joining CHS in Sixth Form should then begin to work through the ‘To do’ list below.
Induction Morning. Led by the Sixth Form Team. All members of the Sixth Form are in school to meet their new Form Tutor, Head of Hall and fellow Waconians. We will also ensure all our new starters are set up on the CHS’s School Network so they are ready for the start of lessons the next day.
First Day: The first full day as a Sixth Form Waconian.
Early September: Each Head of School runs a Welcome Evening for all parents. This date will be communicated early in the Autumn Term.
