Welcome to the Martin Elementary School Music Room where we sing, say, move, play, and create.  

I am Mr. Parten, and I am the Music Teacher at Martin Elementary.  I am going into my 5th year of teaching at CISD.  I earned a Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Central Arkansas, a Masters in Music Performance from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and I am currently ABD from the University of Memphis. My certifications include: Orff Schulwerk Level III and First Steps in Music. 

When I am not at school, I enjoy sports, traveling, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and spending time with my lovely wife and my amazing pets.
