Welcome to our Class!

I can't wait to begin the 2026-2027 school year!

I am starting my 24th year of teaching. I taught 2nd and 4th grade in Carrollton for 10 years. I moved to Frisco and taught for 10 years in 4th grade. This will be my 4th year in Celina! GO BOBCATS!

I've been married for 14 years and I have two wonderful kiddos. Kennedy is 13, and will be going into 8th grade at Moore, and Preston is 9, and will be going into 4th grade at Martin. We got a new puppy in February, Tank, who is now about 7 months old!

I'm a sports mom, so we spend a lot of time on the field. When we are not playing sports, we love to travel, go swimming, and have family movie nights!

I am so excited to begin another school year, and I can't wait to meet your child!

Communication

Email: The best way to contact me is through my email. Please allow 24 hours to respond. All changes in dismissal need to be communicated through the office if the change occurs after our conference period.

Thursday Folders: On Thursdays, we will be sending home ‘Thursday Folders’. Please check these folders for notes from the office, graded work, and any other communication.

Smores: Mrs. Norris sends out a weekly ‘Smores’ newsletter through email. This will be information on all things Martin Elementary.

CLASS INFORMATION

Snacks: Students may bring a snack. Make sure the snack does not require a spoon or is in liquid form. Examples of appropriate snacks are Cheezits, goldfish, and pretzels. No candy/sugar, please.

Birthdays: You may drop off a store bought treat in the office. We will celebrate at the end of the day. Please check with me on class size as it changes throughout the year. It's also very helpful if the treats are all the same flavor, but you certainly do not have to do that.

Homework: Regular homework will not be sent home at this time. Things you can do at home to help support your child are reading each night, practicing math facts using flashcards or online apps, or any CISD approved websites.

Breakfast and Lunch: You will need to add funds to your child's School Cafe account.

LOST & Found

Label all student belongings,such as jackets, water bottles, lunchboxes, and etc.
