Hi! This is my first year teaching, and I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade! I will be a Midwestern State graduate on December 13th, and I am happy to begin my journey with your child!
I had the privilege to grow up in Celina, and even though it's growing, it hasn't lost its small-town charm. I now live on a small farm in the country, where I have many chickens and goats (all of them named), two dogs- Willow and Lily -, and a cat named Levi. In my spare time, I can often be found hanging out with loved ones, reading, painting, baking, or finding places to travel that I've never been.
I am thankful to have the opportunity to teach your child. My goal is to always push them to be the best they can be and create an environment where they feel secure and included.
December 11, 2025
4:00-4:45 pm
I hope to see you there!
Please check your child's daily folder (blue folder) each day. This will be where notes, behavior charts, fluency phrase lists, reading log and other information will be sent home. This is also where you will send notes to school. Your child needs to bring this folder to school daily!
Thursday Folders
Please check your child's bobcat folder each Thursday. This will be where their graded papers and any important information from our grade level or school will be sent home. Thursday folders need to be returned on Fridays.
Lets Connect!
Our class will be using Class Dojo to help us stay in constant communication! Parent accounts can be set up with a parent code or with an email invitation. Stay tuned for the invitation to join!

Dress: Please send your child in TENNIS SHOES/SNEAKERS every day (with the exception of picture day). They will be participating in various activities throughout the day and want to ensure they have safe footwear!
Snacks: Students may bring a healthy snack and labeled water bottle with a flip-top lid each day. Please no screw-top bottles as these tend to spill. Only WATER is allowed in the classroom. Examples of appropriate snacks are Cheez-its, goldfish, granola bars, and pretzels. Please avoid sending snacks that require utensils to eat.
Sometimes we don’t have time to pack a snack at home, we forget it, or we are still hungry after we finish our snack. We have a long time from breakfast to lunch and to end of our day... I want to make sure every kiddo has a full tummy! Please use the Amazon link above if you would like to donate snacks. Thank you for your support!
Birthdays: We would love to celebrate your child on their special day! You may drop off a labeled, store bought treat in the office. Cookies and cupcakes are great options. Please check with me on class size and possible allergies beforehand.
Homework: Homework will not be sent home at this time. You can help support your child at home by reading together each night, strengthening their math fact fluency with flashcards, playing games with dice and numbers (shut the box, farkle, cards), or any CISD approved websites linked on my Clever page.
Breakfast & Lunch: Create an account at SchoolCafe.com/CELINAISD to add funds to your child's lunch account.
Parents/Guardians: Complete the Volunteer Background Check. You will need this completed to attend our field trip and to volunteer at school.
