Welcome to our Class!
Hello Bobcats and Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! My name is Mrs. Boyd, and I am so excited to be your child’s kindergarten teacher. This is my second year teaching, and I truly can’t wait to begin this amazing journey with you and your little one.
Kindergarten is such a special time filled with new beginnings, exciting learning experiences, and joyful growth. This year will be packed with fun activities and meaningful lessons as we build foundational skills in reading, writing, math, and more. Most importantly, we’ll grow together as a classroom family—and I am so excited to see all the wonderful things your child will achieve!
A little bit about me: I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we moved to Celina two years ago. We immediately fell in love with the community and are so happy to call it home. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me spending time with family and friends, staying active with workouts, or relaxing on the boat. I love being outdoors and enjoying the fresh air!
I am honored to be a part of your child’s educational journey. I look forward to getting to know each of you and partnering with you to make this a memorable, fun-filled year of growth and success.
With excitement,
Mrs. Boyd
This year our class will be using the Class Dojo App to help us stay in communication. Join our class Dojo for the latest updates and reminders!
Please be sure to check and sign your students Blue Daily Folders. This will be where behavior notes if needed will be, daily notes, sight words, and other information will be sent home. If behavior log is blank, this means your students has had a GREAT DAY! This is also where you can send notes to school.

PROCEDURES
Dress: Please send your child in TENNIS SHOES/SNEAKERS every day (with the exception of picture day). Sneakers are MANDATORY for PE. They will be participating in various activities throughout the day and want to ensure they have safe footwear!
Snacks: We will have snack time in the afternoon every day. Every Monday please send 5 snacks in a large baggie with your student's name on it. I will send the baggie back home every Friday.
Please provide a healthy snack for your child to eat in class during snack time and a flip top/straw water bottle that can be easily refilled. No screw top bottles please as these spill frequently.
ONLY WATER IS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM!
Sometimes we don’t have time to pack a snack at home, we forget it, or we are still hungry after we finish our snack. We have a long time from breakfast to lunch and to end of our day... I want to make sure every kiddo has a full tummy! If you would like to donate snacks to the classroom we would greatly appreciate it.
Birthdays: I would love to celebrate your child on their special day! You may drop off a labeled, store bought treat in the office. Cookies and cupcakes are great options. Please check with me on class size and allergies beforehand.
Breakfast & Lunch: Create an account at SchoolCafe.com/CELINAISD to add funds to your child's lunch account.
Parents/Guardians: Complete the Volunteer Background Check. You will need this completed to attend our field trip and to volunteer at school.
Please check your child's folder each day. This will be where notes, fluency phrase list, reading log and other information will be sent home. This is also where you will send notes to school. Your child needs to bring this folder to school daily!
Please keep a Ziplock bag of extra clothes in your child's backpack in case they have an accident at school or get dirty and need a change of clothes. Label the bag with your child's first and last name.
