Welcome to our Class!

Hello Martin Family!

I am so excited to start this second year here at Martin! This will be my 7th year here in Celina, and my 11th year teaching. T

My husband, Freddie, and I have 4 daughters, 3 dogs, and 2 cats! We love to spend time outside paddle boarding, hiking, biking, and enjoy traveling in our camper as often as we can. We also love DIY projects!

I am really looking forward to another great and exciting school year at Martin! Go Bobcats!

Meet the Teacher will be on Monday, August 14th from 5:30-7:00.

Please feel free to bring supplies with you.

*Please look for your students information sheet, fill it out, and leave on the desk.

Look for further information from your homeroom teacher regarding directions on how to sort your supplies. We look forward to meeting you.

Communication

The best way to contact me is through my email. I always respond within one business day. I always respond to dismissal changes immediately so you know I received them. If you do not hear back from me, contact the office.

On Thursdays we will be sending home ‘Thursday Folders’. Please check these folders for notes from the office, graded work, and any other communication.

Mrs. Norris sends out a weekly ‘Smores’ newsletter through email. This will be information on all things Martin Elementary.

CLASS DAILY SCHEDULE

Snacks: Students may bring a snack. Make sure the snack does not require a spoon or is in liquid form. Examples of appropriate snacks are Cheez its, goldfish, and pretzels. No candy allowed.

Birthdays: You may drop off a store bought treat in the office. We will celebrate at the end of the day. Please check with me on class size, as it changes throughout the year. It's also very helpful if the treats are all the same flavor, but you certainly do not have to do that.

Homework: Regular homework is not sent home each week. Things you can do at home to help support your child are reading each night, practicing math facts using flashcards or online apps, or CISD approved websites.

Specials: Please make sure students wear tennis shoes on PE days.
