Welcome to Pre-K! My name is Rustin Perez, and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. I have over 15 years’ experience in Pre K and Kindergarten education.

My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels safe, loved, and encouraged to explore, ask questions, and do their very best each day. Together,we will build friendships, learn new skills, and make wonderful memories throughout the year. I believe that parents and teachers are partners in a child's education, and I look forward to getting to know your family and working together to help your child have a successful and joyful Pre-K experience.

Class Dojo

This year our class will be using the Class Dojo App to help us stay connected. Join our class for the latest updates and reminders.

Daily Folder

Your child will be given a dialy folder that will travel back and forth from school to home each day. Please check your child's folder each night for notes, school work, behavior, etc.

Please take out any papers. On occasion there may be something in the pocket of the folder you may need to sign and return to school.

Snack Time

We will have time for snack each afternoon, please send a healthy snack that does not require the use of a spoon or fork. Our classroom is carpeted therefor items that easily spill are discouraged. Please be sure to lable EVERYTHING...

Rest Time

Student's will have a period of rest each day. Plese send a foldable nap mat (on Amazon they are called Kinder Mats) and a small blanket to cover with. We will send the blanket home each Friday afternoon for a wash and ask that you return it on Monday mornings. Please be sure to label EVERYTHING!

Recess

Please send your child to school in TENNIS SHOES/SNEAKERS every day (with the exeption of picture day.) Sneakers are MANDATORY for PE. They will be partcipating in various activities throughout the day .

Girls should wear shorts underneath skirts or dresses.

Volunteer

Complete the Volunteer Background Check You will need this completed to attend our field trip and to volunteer at school.

Birthdays

I would love to celebrate your child on their special day! You may drop off a labeled, store bought treat in the office. Cookies and cupcakes are great options! Please check with me on class size and allergies beforehand.
