GT Specialist

I’m thrilled to be the Gifted and Talented Specialist for Martin Elementary! This is my 17th year in education and my second year in Celina ISD. Last year, I had the joy of teaching STEAM and GT, and this year I’m beyond excited to focus fully on empowering gifted learners at our campus!
My family has called Celina home for the past 4 years, and we love being part of this vibrant community. My husband Brandon and I have two boys, Weston (now in 4th grade) and Braxton (2nd grade). We also share our home with our three dogs, Rocky, Skye, and Everest, a Russian tortoise, Hairee, and an albino axolotl, Axie the Worminator.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Liberal Arts from Louisiana Scholars’ College and a Master of Arts in Education from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. I’m currently continuing my own learning journey at Dallas Baptist University as I work to further my education and leadership skills.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching every elementary grade level, along with STEAM and GT. I’m passionate about nurturing curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. In GT, students will explore real-world problems, dive into creative design challenges, and develop the tools to bring bold ideas to life.
I can’t wait to see what our gifted learners will discover, invent, and imagine this year because the world needs the things only they can create!
