Vittorio Ottolenghi was a Jewish Holocaust victim.

His life was was calm and discrete until the enforcement of the Fascist anti-Semitic laws which dragged his existence into an unfathomable ordeal.

He was born on January 18, 1874 in Alessandria to a small Jewish family, as the only son of Gershon Ottolenghi and his wife Rachele Pugliese.

Not much is known about his private life until his sad anti-Semitic encounter. Ottolenghi spent part of his life in Sanremo. However, the city that hosted him became his worst enemy: on November 26, 1943, Vittorio was arrested and imprisoned in Genoa. As time went by, he had no clue about the fate he would meet. Once transferred to the collecting hubs in Milan, Vittorio boarded convoy n°5 on December 6, 1943, which reached the Auscwhitz extermination camp five days later.

Ottolenghi died on the same day of his arrival, thus avoiding the pain of the punishments carried out against the other victims.
