Edvige Norzi

Edvige Norzi was a young Jew. She used to live with her husband, Vittorio Ottolenghi, in the town of Sanremo. She lived her life peacefully until November 25, 1943. On that day, Edvige and her husband were arrested and transferred to Genoa and later to Milan, from where they left on December 6, 1943 on a long and difficult journey towards an unknown destination, piled on a convoy intended for the transportation of goods and animals. After five days, on December 11 of that same year, they ultimately realized were they were. Edvige and her husband lost their lives as soon as they reached the Auschwitz extermination camp.
