Vertebral body

The large part of the vertebra is called its body and the central part of this is called the centrum. The upper and lower surfaces of the body give attachment to the intervertebral discs. The posterior part of a vertebra forms a vertebral arch and this consists of two pedicles, two laminae and seven processes.
